Job Description

Veterinary Assistant

Stoneledge Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Westbrook, Maine.

This is not an entry-level assistant role. We are looking for someone who has spent meaningful time in a veterinary hospital, understands clinical workflow, and can help support a team that is currently rebuilding, growing, and working through a high-need staffing period.

Stoneledge has served the Westbrook community for approximately 60 years. Our hospital operates out of a distinctive 1879 farmhouse with a barn-style clinical addition, giving the practice a unique feel and a strong local presence. Inside, we have 5 exam rooms, a dedicated comfort room, 2 wet treatment tables, a surgery suite, an x-ray room, and significant kennel and patient holding space.

Our team is made up of people who care deeply about animals and want to provide strong patient care, even during challenging days. We are looking for someone who brings positive energy, practical experience, and a willingness to help wherever needed.

The right assistant will be steady, reliable, and comfortable supporting surgery, treatment, patient handling, and daily workflow.
