Bilingual Insurance Customer Service & Sales AssociateROLE OVERVIEW We are an established State Farm insurance agency serving a long-standing client base. We are seeking an experienced bilingual (English + Chinese/Mandarin or Cantonese) Insurance Customer Service & Sales Associate to support our existing clients, handle day-to-day insurance service needs, and assist with in-office and inbound sales opportunities. This is not a cold-calling position. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working directly with clients, understands how to identify customer needs, and can confidently transition a service conversation into an appropriate insurance discussion or sales opportunity. We are looking for someone with prior customer-facing experience who can communicate professionally, build trust, and take ownership of client needs from initial conversation through follow-up. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and is interested in building a long-term career in the insurance industry.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide professional bilingual (Chinese/English) customer service to existing and prospective clientsAssist clients with policy changes, coverage questions, documentation, billing, and general insurance inquiriesHandle inbound and in-office insurance opportunities and assist clients with quotes and appropriate product discussionsIdentify additional insurance needs during customer conversations and introduce relevant coverage or products when appropriateBuild rapport with clients and confidently guide conversations toward solutions and next stepsFollow up with clients on pending service requests, quotes, and insurance opportunitiesMaintain accurate documentation and update internal systemsCoordinate with other team members to ensure timely and consistent client serviceSupport general office operations and workflow as neededQUALIFICATIONSFluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English requiredPrior customer-facing customer service, insurance, financial services, banking, retail sales, or similar experience strongly preferredComfortable discussing products, identifying customer needs, and handling inbound sales opportunitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to work directly with clients by phone and in personActive California insurance license preferred; licensing support may be available for the right candidateDetail-oriented, organized, and able to balance customer service, follow-up, and sales-related responsibilitiesProfessional, dependable, and interested in a stable, long-term positionCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSHourly compensation: $22–$25 per hourPaid time off and training providedStable, long-term position with a supportive team environmentHybrid / flexible work-from-home options may be available after onboarding and successful training
